Mtn, the most favorite telecommunication network in Ghana and the largest telecommunication company in Ghana by market capitalization with 63 percent market share in the second quarter of 2022 statistics released by statista.com
The telco market giant has over the weeks sent notice to its customers concerning the increments on it data plans begin Monday 14 November,2022. The message didn’t sit well with some of its customers as they seek to find alternatives to Mtn for affordable data plans.
According to some customers this is the message they received from Mtn
“Dear Valued Customer, Please be aware that the prices of data bundles will go up on November 14, 2022. Enjoy a 50% bonus when you buy a bundle (4G only), and don’t forget that MTN Data bundles don’t expire.”
Users with expectations of such increments on the said Monday 14, 2022 were shock to receive another notice informing customers of the postponement of the increments.
The message sent to customers announcing the postponement read as
“Dear Valued Customer, kindly be informed that the implementation of the new data prices scheduled for November 14, 2022, has been postponed. We will keep you updated of the new implementation date. Thank you for your continuing loyalty.”
However, The telco reasons for embarking on such increments is attributable to increased in operating cost and the need to expand it services with quality at it core. The motive of Mtn is to expand it services to every corner of on the African soil.
