Vodafone set to officially launch Telecel tomorrow.
Vodafone Ghana has set tomorrow 12th March, 2024 to officially transition from the brand vodafone ghana to Telecel. The event is scheduled to begin 9:00am at Tetteh Quarshie Interchange near Accra Mall.
Prior to the official launch vodafone Gh subscribers have already seen the the change of brand and signal name on various devices changed to Telecel.
Vodafone had previously announced and encouraged customers to continue using their services as they are committed in its operations.
According to Vodafone Ghana’s CEO, Patricia Obo-Nai, vodafone Ghana is fully committed to delivering excellence across all facets of the business and providing customers with innovative products and services.
She also emphasized on embracing this change as an opportunity for
exploring new and exciting areas of growth.
Telecel Group COO Malek Atrissi, also stated that “this acquisition is a testament to our enthusiasm and positive outlook for the Ghanaian market, which we view as a vital market with unlimited potential for digitalization and innovation in Africa.

Prior to tomorrow’s official launch Vodafone ghana had previously concluded the necessary documentation transition which took place early last on February 21, 2023 at Accra.
Vodafone Group Plc has completed the transfer of its 70% majority shares in Vodafone Ghana (Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited – GTCL), to the Telecel Group after successfully obtaining all the necessary regulatory approvals, including the agreement of the Government of Ghana, as a minority shareholder.
